What will you be able to do after completing the A2 German course?
Course General Objective A2.1
- At A2.1 level, a learner can describe daily life and personal experiences in greater detail using past, present, and future tenses.
- With a broader vocabulary, they can communicate independently on topics such as travel, health, shopping, food, and city life.
- They can produce simple stories, emails, and short presentations, and they deepen their knowledge of the cultures of German-speaking countries.
Course General Objective A2.2
- By the end of the course, learners can express themselves confidently in past, present, and future tenses (Präsens, Perfekt, Präteritum—especially with sein/haben and modal verbs, plus Futur I or Präsens with time expressions), as well as use Plusquamperfekt and the basics of the Konjunktiv (especially Konjunktiv II for wishes, polite requests, and hypothetical situations).
- They can conduct fluent, connected conversations beyond everyday topics, including areas like work, travel, environment, and media, while stating intentions, opinions, and simple reasons, and responding appropriately to follow-up questions.
- With an active vocabulary of about 700–900 words, learners are able to convey ideas more clearly and write short texts, narratives, and simple argumentative paragraphs.
- The course equips learners with the necessary language skills to transition to B1 level.

Present tense & irregular verbs (review +)
- Grammar: Present with vowel change (fahren, lesen, nehmen, sprechen); haben/sein; frequency adverbs (immer/oft/manchmal/selten/nie).
- Vocabulary: Daily routine, study habits, time phrases (heute, morgens, am Wochenende).
- Communication: Describe daily life; talk about habits.
